Whether you’re running a simple A/B test between two pages, or a more complex test with multiple pages and multiple goals, there are tools available to help you.

Check out the following list of our favorite A/B testing solutions for all business sizes and requirements, so that you can make the most meaningful changes to your website.

1. Optimizely

Optimizely is a really simple and easy-to-use visual editor that allows you to edit every element on a single page. To get started, you just need to insert a line of code into your HTML, which syncs back to Optimizely and allows you to work with split, mobile and multi-variate testing. Real-time reporting allows you to track clicks and conversions.

Pricing: Free 30-day trial, and then basic plans start at $17 USD/month

2. Unbounce

Unbounce has a powerful drag & drop landing page builder that lets you create responsive pages — and you don’t need to be super tech-savvy to do it. Their “code-free zone” means you can build a landing page and then publish it immediately in a single click – all without any knowledge of HTML. They also have over 200 high-converting landing page templates available (85 of which are free), which you can customize to suit your brand.

Unbounce also integrates with a number of other powerful digital marketing tools like HubSpot, Mailchimp, AWeber, and Salesforce.

Pricing: ranges from $49 USD/month (starter plan) to $499 USD/month (enterprise plan)

3. Five Second Test

“Wherever first impressions count, use a five second test”. Five Second Test is a simple A/B testing tool that tests the first impressions of your landing pages. You simply upload a screenshot or mock-up of your design with a list of questions, and testers take 5 seconds to view your image and give their first impressions. The software reviews the responses and generates a word cloud of commonly occuring keywords that were used in the UI feedback.

Five second tests can be used to test home page designs, landing pages, logos, brochures and marketing material.

Pricing: the Community Plan lets you run tests for free as long as you also respond to tests; otherwise, paid plans start at $20 USD/month

4. Convert

Convert allows you to run A/B, multi-variate, and split URL testing. Their Testing Wizard walks you through the easy set-up process, and the drag and drop elements that will let you build your own tests. It supports easy HTML and a visual WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor that shows your experiment content as well as easy style sheet editing for dynamic content experiments.

Convert also integrates with Google Analytics for real-time data tracking, and you have full test control with minimum and maximum test duration, traffic allocation, conversion tracking, automatic bounce and engagement measuring and behavioral and segmented tracking.

Pricing: Free 15-day trial, and then basic plans start at $69 USD/month

5. KISSMetrics

This popular tool is a ‘person-based’ analytics platform: see your entire customer journey — across web and mobile – through real people.  It also offers 7 different reports which are highly flexible, and will measure and show you the results of a test at every single step of the buying process.

Once you’ve set up your test you can also segment any of these reports to see its performance, and you also have the ability to track two completely different page designs (not just changes in a single page element), using one URL for all of the landing page variants.

Pricing: ranges from $120 USD/month for startup to $600 USD/month for power

With AB Tasty, you can launch your personalization campaigns easily and completely independently. Simply create your marketing messages using the customizable templates, and then target them to your audience profiles – profiles that have been defined via a hundred or so criteria, or that you have enriched with your own data.

7. HubSpot Enterprise

HubSpot’s enterprise version offers valuable insights that will help you continue to scale your business. It’s software allows you to experiment with different messages and images in your emails and learn what resonates with your audience more effectively using A/B testing. They also have an amazing reports module that shows you details such as where people are clicking on your homepage and product pages, and insights into what recommended changes are that will increase conversions at all of these touchpoints.

They also offer another cool feature for lead scoring, that will help you predict the lead score for all contacts in your database so you know which are the likeliest to convert to a sale and can create a workflow to notify your sales team.

Pricing: A/B testing access is only available through HubSpot’s Enterprise platform, which starts at $2,400 USD/month.
